We are very proud of our sporting heritage and the high level of participation and achievement that occurs across our school in a number of different sports.
We have witnessed many past students go on to achieve outstanding state, national and international success, in turn becoming models of inspiration for our current students. Please see our Athletics Records (on the right) set during our Interhouse Athletics Carnivals and also, our Swimming Records (to the right) set during our Interhouse Swimming Carnivals.
We have a healthy sporting rivalry between 'Gwynne' and 'Deacon' in our Interhouse Sporting Carnivals that include swimming, cross country and athletics. Many students from here go on to represent our school in higher tier competitions.
In primary our students are fortunate to compete in both Central Downs and Southern Downs carnivals and trials in a variety of individual and team sports and some even move further on to include Darling Downs, State and even National competition.
Primary students also participate in special sporting such as Broncos Cup, Central Downs Gala Days that showcase rugby league, soccer, netball and also ball games.
Our secondary students compete in both Border District and Warwick All School sporting events and like primary students have the opportunity if successful to move onto Darling Downs, State and National competition.
