Our prep to year 2 teachers work closely together to ensure students have the best possible start in their education journey. These early years are vital in literacy and numeracy development, oral language and concept knowledge about the world around us. The Prep Handbook has some useful information for parents to help with transitioning their child into Prep.
Across years 3 to 6 our teaching teams also work closely together and are committed to ensure that all students are learning and achieving. Careful monitoring of literacy progress continues as well as work across the learning areas. Please refer to our Reading Framework and the Whole School Approach to Writing menu items that addresses these important cross-curricular priorities.
To include the Humanities subjects of History, Civics and Citizenship and Geography, we use an integrated subject approach that will cover all of the Humanities Learning Areas this submect is titled, HASS (Humanities and Social Science).
